Update:  The cost of this system proved to be too great for FRC team budgets. For 2009 and beyond, we are pursuing a software-centered solution with off-the-shelf hardware. We are now using six Wiimote controllers connected by Bluetooth to a database on a laptop. This software is still in beta testing, but we will share our results following the 2009 AZ Regional on March 19-21.

See our 2009 scouting system here .

NOTE:  A PIC programmer is required for Scout data uploads and  firmware updates.  If you don't purchase six Scout units, you will need to provide your own Microchip 18Fxxxx-compatible PIC programmer.  An economical USB PIC programmer is Microchip's PicKit2 development programmer/debugger (P/N PG164120), which should be used in combination with the RJ11-to-ICSP adapter (P/N AC164110).
